With over 26 years of experience developing and implementing interior design and conceptual commercial environments across Canada and Internationally, Ruth is instrumental in setting strategic design and developing interiors that sell. Ruth has been pivotal to the success of dozens of Hospitality , Retail and Commercial projects. As the founding principal of our team, her experience in environmental design has fostered her ability to develop interior concepts that best showcase a product or service . She has a keen sense of spatial arrangement and the ability to provide illustrative recommendations to ensure understanding of environmental concepts. Ruth graduated with Honours from Bellevue College in the Interior Design program , Worked in Seattle, Israel and Canada and has designed over 100 restaurants, 200 retail stores, 25 medical offices, 2 dozen homes and much more…..In her spare time Ruth loves to spend time with her boys, exploring, traveling, movies, cooking ,entertaining, long walks on the beachfront or in the forest, and being a hockey mom.

Elysha was born and raised in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, and has been passionate about creative spaces from a young age. She graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology with her Bachelor’s of Interior Design in 2019, and soon after began her role as an Interior Designer at Janks Design Group. Elysha enjoys every step of the design process, and especially thrives in concept development. Her fresh perspective stems from her abundant amount of time spent in the outdoors and her desire to constantly explore new places. Elysha approaches each project with a motivated and open mind, and truly believes in the importance of communication and organization in every project. Outside of design, Elysha enjoys practicing photography, travelling to both near and far places, camping, and listening to new music and podcasts.

Graduated from Universities Rafael Urdaneta, in Venezuela with an Architectural degree . She worked locally in a Governmental environment where she managed to gained much experience in the field of architecture and design. Liz immigrated with her husband to Canada in 1995 and has called it home ever since. Over the years Liz has obtained vast experience in the design field and worked on many projects. She especially enjoys challenging spaces and works well in both 3D and 2D environments. She is a wiz at building computerized models and brings a great sense of aesthetic to her work. She has kept us all entertained at Janks design since 2007.She thrives off being busy in all aspects of her life. She especially likes drawing, music, exploring new places and spending time with family and friends. She is an extremely devoted mother and wife.

Shan earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from MEASI Academy in India and graduated from Savannah College of Art and design with a Master of Fine Arts in Interior design. Shan won multiple awards during his time at SCAD and worked in various sectors of the interior design realm around the world before settling in Vancouver and joining JDG. His passion for design extends beyond his disciplines of expertise and his design thinking process and collaboration skills all contribute to creating what does not exist. He is a versatile designer that works well in a team setting and is committed to finding solutions and meeting client expectations. Outside of design, Shan likes strategizing on a chess board, experimenting with geometry in 3D printing and discovering new places and flavours.

Hailing from Calgary, AB, Katrina remotely joined the team at JDG in early 2022 as their virtual administrative assistant. She excels in systemizing complexities and delivering vital operational and administrative backing to the team, from just over the Rocky Mountains. Katrina thrives at the intersection of creativity and operational structure. Her keen eye for detail and structural optimization launched her into the business world at an early age, developing and overseeing an associate training program for a local eatery while still in high school. She later went on to pursue her creative passion and obtained an Associate Diploma from The Royal Conservatory of Music. With the ability to seamlessly blend operational insight and artistic flair, Katrina's professional background spans both corporate and nonprofit realms, with nearly a decade of experience working alongside executives to provide high level support while optimizing business efficiency. Beyond her desk, she enjoys volunteering within her community and cherishes moments with her husband, their two boys, and their very pampered pooches.

Antony is an experienced Application Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. Skilled in PHP, Databases, Linux, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and XML. Strong engineering professional with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) focused in Computer Science and Physics from University of the Witwatersrand. In his spare time Antony enjoys cycling, running, playing with his dog, making and sometimes breaking things and learning new software languages.

Kelly graduated with a Poo-H-D from Morale school in 2018. He has been offering comfort and encouragement ever since . He can’t wait to get to the office each day to greet everyone with a chat and bone – and he is especially experienced in paper shredding and analyzing toy durability. When things get stressful, he will always be at our side with a comforting smile and snuggle. With a leading edge designer attitude, he often rearranges the studio as he sees fit and has a super soft spot for a good belly rub and lunch. In his spare time, Kelly loves his walks and playtime in the park with all his other 4-legged buddies.
