Yugo Restaurant
Yugo on Main St embodies a fusion of Japanese and French cultures. This culinary marriage is reflected through the restaurant’s design.
The primary challenge was to seamlessly blend the distinct design elements of Japanese and French cultures. This included incorporating clean, straight lines of Japanese design using natural hemlock wood native to Canada, while also infusing French elements such as herringbone tile, brick, and marbled quartz. Achieving a balance and cohesive look between these two cultural aesthetics presented a unique design challenge.
